Worldwide Travel - Pay Less, Travel and Experience More

Do you want authentic meals?  Do you want contact with local people?  Do you want to find hidden places to visit?  If you reply yes to any one of these questions, our website is going to help you to achieve these goals.  We answered positively to these questions and now we want to share our knowledge with you.  So now, what that means for us, is no more “Metro-Boulot-Dodo” (pronounced may tro boo lo do do) – a wonderfully succinct way of saying that you live to work.  Now, we live to travel and we want to share our experiences with you. We love to help fellow travellers and our aim is to teach you how easy it is to travel independently.  In our blog pages, you will find our travel stories and tips to help you get out of your comfort zone.  Please don’t hesitate to ask us questions.  We will be very pleased to help you. Travelling independently is not difficult but being aware of some golden rules will ensure you have unforgettable memories from your future trips.

Our Travel Philosophy when we Worldwide Travel

We make a conscious choice to travel Off the Tourist Treadmill. This means travelling like a local and avoiding 5-star hotels.  Although we have the money to do this, we opt to travel a different way and prefer to stay in less expensive guest houses where European food and guests are not the norm.  We love that we can eat authentic cuisine and relish in the freedom to move from one place to another which affords us time to interact with the locals.

Not only do we pay less, but we experience more by having the time to stay where we want for however long we want.  We can easily respond to tips from other travellers and change our destinations.  We are not alone.  When travelling in India, we stayed in a simple £20 a night hotel and met two 70-year-old women who were backpacking around Asia without a fixed plan.  We spent a great night with them and exchanged tips on our travels in India.  This is only one example, but it happens all the time whenever we travel Off the Tourist Treadmill.
